Our TRJ Library is always growing, and we’re excited to have Art of the Hot Rod: Collector’s Edition in our lineup. Written by longtime TRJ contributor Ken Gross and photographed by our good friend Peter Harholdt, this book was originally published in 2008 and re-released earlier this year.
The collector’s edition is printed in large-format on heavy paper and spans 240 pages. Art of the Hot Rod takes an inside look at some of our hobby’s most notable builders including Alan Johnson, Dave Simard, Rick Dore, Vern Tardel, Steve Moal and more than a dozen others, many of which have been featured in TRJ during the past two decades.
One of the best parts about this book is that it covers every style of hot rod as well as the people that build them. From the Posies “Extremeliner” Studebaker to the Kennedy Brothers-built “Devil Deuce” five-window, Art of the Hot Rod has cars to suit every rodder’s taste. As an added bonus, the book also has over-sized foldouts and comes with four collectible art prints. For more, take a look at the excerpt in TRJ #43.
