THE EVENT

The Rodder's Journal Revival at Pimlico Race Course
Saturday, 9:00am-6:00pm
Sunday, 9:00am-3:00pm

From all points, take I-83 to Northern Parkway West and look for the signs. Hot rods, customs, and vintage competition cars on display all weekend long. Plenty of paved paths for cruising the infield, a designated display for past Rodder's Journal feature cars, a "Competition Concours" featuring vintage dry lakes, Bonneville, and drag racecars, plus local and national vendors, live music, great food and beer!

CRUISES AND NIGHTTIME ACTIVITIES

We have organized some daytime and evening events for show participants to have the opportunity to drive their cars and check out what we think is one of the coolest cities around. These are laid back aairs that will give us all a chance to hang out with new and old and enjoy our hot rods. We hope you can stop in...

THURSDAY 9/27

Low Light Photography Session at Pimlico Race Course
We will have a pre-event low light photo session on the infield of Pimlico Race Course beginning at 6:00pm and ending around 7:30pm followed by a cruise to the kick-off party (details below). All registered attendees are welcome to participate. Though photography from the event will appear in The Rodder's Journal, no one vehicle is guaranteed to appear in the magazine. We will also be shooting photos throughout the weekend for a feature article that will appear in TRJ #57.

Kick-off party at Canton Dockside, 8:00pm

3301 Boston Street, Baltimore, Maryland
Plenty of free waterfront parking, and great food and drink at one of Baltimore's best crab houses and restaurants. Several contributors to our recent release, Scrapbook, will be there. If you've got scrapbooks of your own, bring them down!

FRIDAY 9/28

Daytime Cruise Daytime cruise to some scenic destinations throughout Baltimore and the Chesapeake region. More details to come the week of 9/17.

Nighttime Cruise to Fells Point

1700 Block of Thames Street, Baltimore, Maryland
Evening cruise at one of Baltimore's historic waterfront neighborhoods. Reserved parking for show registrants on a first come/first served basis. Watch "The Hot Rod Story" and "American Graffiti" on a 26' outdoor movie screen, and check out dozens of the city's best bars, restaurants, and live music venues. Parking opens at 5:00pm, movies start around 7:00pm.

Nighttime Cruise to Little Havana/Harbor View parking lot, 6:00pm

1325 Key Highway, Baltimore, Maryland
Evening cruise to the Federal Hill neighborhood for another night on Baltimore's Harbor. Sit in the glow of the historic 120-foot Domino Sugars neon sign and enjoy great food and drink inside and on the waterfront deck at Little Havana. Free parking on the adjacent Harbor View parking lot for registered attendees on a first come/first served basis.

Trophies and Awards

We intend for this to be a laid back weekend to show and drive our cars. As such, no formal judging will take place. We will however present a few trophies hand-painted by East Coast pinstriper, Greg Perkins, that will be awarded by some of the special guests in attendance. The spirit of this is all in fun; there are no winners or losers and we're all here to have a good time.

Car Show Registration Cost - Weekend Pass

$50 for a weekend registration includes admission for (1) car and (2) attendees for all TRJ Revival activities

Pre-registered attendees can pick up their registration packet at our pre-registration table Thursday night at Canton Dockside (3301 Boston Street in Baltimore), Friday night in Fells Point (1700 block of Thames Street), or Saturday morning at the car show entrant gate at Pimlico Race Course (Pimlico Road at Northern Parkway)

1-Day Car Show Registration Cost

$30 paid at the car show entrant gate (Pimlico Road at Northern Parkway) includes admission for (1) car and (2) attendees for either Saturday or Sunday

Showdown Drags Discount

Due to an unavoidable scheduling issue, The Rodder's Journal Revival is taking place the same day as the Showdown Drags in Pennsylvania (Saturday). Entrants attending The Revival on Sunday with a Showdown Drags entrant sticker will be charged a $20 entry fee which includes (1) car and (2) attendees for the day.

Spectator Admission to Pimlico Race Course

Adults: $12/day or $20 for a two-day pass
Kids under 12 are free
10% discount for active enlisted military

Car Show Eligibility

The Rodder's Journal Revival is open to all hot rods, customs, and competition cars from 1965 and earlier. Though it's not necessary for pre-registration, we encourage you to send photos of your vehicle to trjrevival@roddersjournal.com. Vehicles originally manufactured after 1965 will be considered on a case-by-case basis (for consideration, please email a photo to trjrevival@roddersjournal.com).

Trailer Parking

Trailer and tow vehicle parking will be available at Pimlico Race Course on a rst come/rst served basis. Trailers can be unloaded and parked at Pimlico Thursday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm; Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm; Saturday from 7:00am to 9:00am; and Sunday from 7:00am to 9:00am.

EZ-Ups

Car owners are wecome to bring EZ-Ups and similar portable shelters on the infield of Pimlico. Just be responsible while placing and securing them on the infield.

Liability

A Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement must be signed when registration packet is picked up by all car show entrants. All entrants, attendees, and vendors are responsible for their personal property.

Security

Although all entrants, attendees, and vendors are responsible for their personal property, we have hired o-duty Maryland State Troopers for security on the grounds of Pimlico Race Course on Thursday from 7:00pm to Friday at 9:00am, and around the clock beginning at 6:00pm Friday through 3:00pm Sunday. We will also have an o-duty Maryland State Trooper on duty from midnight to 7:00am at the parking garage adjacent to the Waterfront Marriott on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night.

Restrictions

No alcohol can be brought onto the infield of Pimlico Race Course. Beer will be available at the track. For the safety of our attendees and your pets, please leave all pets at home; they will not be allowed on the infield.
