Revival

The Second Annual
Rodder's Journal
Vintage Speed & Custom Revival

September 27-29, 2013
Baltimore, Maryland

The Second Annual Rodder's Journal Revival will be taking place this September 27-29 in Baltimore, Maryland. The weekend-long rod run will once again be held on the historic grounds of Pimlico Race Course. For those of you who attended our inaugural event last year, we aren't changing very much about the forma—we're just making it bigger, better, and more fun. And for those of you attending for the first time, you're in for a weekend of great live music, excellent food, scenic waterfront cruising, and some of the finest hot rods and custom cars in the country.

The Location

With all its history and the vintage clubhouse, grandstands and stables surrounding the track at Baltimore's Pimlico Race Course, it provides the perfect backdrop for a traditional rod and custom show. The beautiful 25+ acre infield offers a stunning setting with plenty of grass for parking and winding asphalt paths for cruising. The track is located just five minutes off I-83, a smooth, three-lane highway that offers a straight 10-minute shot into Baltimore's Harbor East/Fells Point area, where our host hotels are located. Here you'll find a great mix of restaurants, bars, and local and national retailers along brick and cobblestone streets lining the waterfront.

The Event

We think Baltimore is just a cool town for an event like this. When we're not hanging out in the scenic infield at Pimlico, there's plenty of space to enjoy our cars throughout the city and surrounding areas. It's within a days' drive from just about any point on the East Coast, and is therefore accessible to a huge number of TRJ readers. It's the perfect location for a weekend-long party with our friends, our readers, and our cars.

Some event highlights to look forward to are:

  • Thursday night TRJ Revival Kick-Off Party
  • Friday daytime cruise
  • Low light photo sessions at Pimlico Race Course
  • Friday and Saturday evening cruises along the scenic Baltimore harbor
  • Saturday and Sunday rod run to the infield of the historic Pimlico Race Course
  • Hundreds of hot rods and custom cars from across the country
  • Rodder's Journal feature cars in attendance
  • An expanded display of historic competition cars
  • Local and national vendors with the best traditional hot rod and custom offerings

The Details

Pre-registration is now open for the Second Annual Rodder's Journal Revival right here at www.roddersjournal.com

We don't intend for The Rodder's Journal Revival to be the biggest event in the country, but we do intend for it to be one of the most unique—and fun—rod runs you'll attend this year. We look forward to being able to interact with as many readers as possible throughout the long weekend and to spend time with friends both old and new.

Stay tuned, as we've got more details to announce as the show draws closer. See you in September!
